Common questions
What can a template include?
You choose: description, assignee, priority, due date, status, tags, custom fields, subtasks, checklists, followers, procedures, docs, dependencies, comments and attachments. Recurring settings and start dates are never carried.
Does a recurring task wait for the last one to be done?
Only if you want it to. By default it runs on the calendar, so finishing early doesn't bring the next one forward. You can also have it repeat when the task is done or closed.
Can an automation apply a template?
Yes. A rule can apply a template to a new task, or directly onto the task that triggered it, for example when a form or an email arrives.
Who can change a template?
Its creator, plus the people and teams given edit access. Everyone else can use it but not change it.
